A Long Night

Quick update. We are all o.k., we are in Ingleside/Corpus waiting for the storm to pass. We all stayed here, everything is shut down, boarded up...even Walmart is closed! We're not sure what the situation will be like when we return to Houston. We are 20 min. from Galveston and live 2 miles from Clearlake/Kemah which have been on the national news all day with pics of the tidal surge and homes, etc. under water. Hopefully tomorrow they will show the area we live in during daylight hours so we will get a better idea of what we will be dealing with. Bryan is with us, we have all been staying together at the house in Ingleside. He has REALLY been having a rough time at night. He can't breathe when he lays down at night. His nose is stopped up and stays that way. We have to suction his nose continually all night, at least once an hour. He does o.k. during the daytime, but as soon as you lay him down at night things get really bad. He is fighting for air with each breath. 2 more weeks til tonsils/adenoids come out. I have been praying really hard that the surgery will help his breathing, which in turn I hope will help everything else...his physical development, sleep pattern, etc. As soon as we know more about the hurricane aftermath I will post. We will have lots of pics I'm sure, we are already seeing lots of damage in our area.In the meantime, please pray for Bryan to breathe well at night so he can rest. It will be long night tonight.

Candi,
So glad you are all okay. I hope that you have minimal damage to your home and neighborhood. I also hope that Brian's nose gets better. Poor thing!

Much love,

Hi Candi

We have seen footage of Galveston being hit by the storm on the TV here in the UK and immediately thought of you. We pray that all is well with you and of course special prayers for your little Bryan - we are so sorry that he is having such a difficult time with his breathing at night - hopefully the op will sort it out. He is a gorgeous baby - bet you're loving giving him hugs.

with our love and support from one grandma to another.

Candi,
I have been thinking about you guys and I am so glad to hear that you all are ok. I really hope the damage by your homes is not that severe.

As for Bryan-is there anything you can give him such as Benadryl to try to dry him out a bit? Also either a vaporizer or humidifier to add some moisture to the room? Poor little guy. I am praying for him and I really hope the surgery changes things completely for him!
Hugs to you guys

So glad that you are all okay and hoping that you don't have too much clean up to do when you go back home! I feel for Bryan and the stuffy nose, the adnoids should help that out!
